Distributor agreement with SoftBank Commerce & Service, plus development partnerships with SECOM, Nihon Unisys, NSW, and Kyoto Prefecture

The second round of the SoftBank Innovation Program (SIP) to fund and facilitate prototyping, and market testing for Rapyuta Robotics’ new cloud-based drone service

Rapyuta Robotics Co. Ltd. (“Rapyuta Robotics”) announced it was selected for the second round of the SoftBank Innovation Program, a program designed by SoftBank Corp. (“SoftBank”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Group Corp. (TOKYO: 9984), to facilitate the introduction of promising new technologies into the commercial marketplace. SoftBank will provide funding and market intelligence to support the prototyping, development and market testing of Rapyuta Robotics’ cloud robotics platform.

Rapyuta Robotics announces USD 10 million in Series A funding to empower lives with connected machines

Rapyuta Robotics (RR), an ETH Zurich spin-off, announced USD 10 million in Series A funding. The financing comes from SBI investments Co. Ltd., one of Japan’s leading financial investors, who also invested in RR’s seed round, which was lead by Cyberdyne Inc. “We are very excited to deepen our relationship with SBI, who were with us from the very beginning, and who have offered us great support with a global-mindset,” says Arudchelvan Krishnamoorthy, Co-founder and COO. With Series A funding, RR has now raised a total of USD 13 million since its founding.

Tokyo, Japan - Cloud robotics company Rapyuta Robotics has just announced $10 million USD* in Series A funding led by SBI investments Co. Ltd., one of Japan’s leading financial investors. SBI also invested in Rapyuta Robotics’ seed round, which was which was led by Cyberdyne Inc. in 2015.

Zurich, Switzerland - Rapyuta Robotics is pleased to announce that the Swiss Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI) will provide approximately USD 500K in funding to support the development of our Cloud Robotics Platform  in partnership with the ICCLab/SPLab at the Zurich University of Technology.

Bengaluru, India - Rapyuta Robotics is excited to announce the opening of its new India office in Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore), India. Along with existing offices in Tokyo (Japan) and Zurich (Switzerland) the company now has a presence in three countries.
